Information about Peter - Hackham tutor

Personal Description:

I am a passionate, creative, curious, caring tutor. I aim to meet the needs of my students and deliver content in a variety of ways to help ensure their understanding. I play Saxophone, Clarinet, Piano and currently sing with the Festival Statesmen. I am also a keen sportsmen and gardener when I get the time. I love exploring new things.

Tuition Experience:

I have over 20 years of teaching experience. I have worked in the UK system with A level and IB where I Directed a Department at a top Grammar school. I have worked in the NSW system at a top private school working with Music 2 and extension students at the very top level. I also worked as an HSC marker for performance, composition and musicology. I also led the co-curricular opportunities for Music. I am currently a Director of Music at a private school in Adelaide teaching in the SACE system. I also teach the saxophone, clarinet, piano, voice and music theory, composition and performance. I have worked across all facets of music teaching. I work regularly with Music Technology and have complete a full year of Ableton Live. I am also fluent with GarageBand and Logic, Sibelius Ultimate and Notion.

Tutoring Approach:

I individualise my approach to meet the needs of my students. I am firm, friendly with high expectations and always aim to build a positive rapport with whoever I might teach.
