Personal Description:

Hi! I'm an experienced and effective English tutor at all levels, specialising in VCE English. I'm currently studying politics in London at the University College London, so I will only be offering online tuition. I graduated school in 2018, so I'm able to offer both an empathetic understanding of the stresses of secondary school as a recent graduate, and experience having tutored for over four years.

Tuition Experience:

I worked as a volunteer general tutor from 2015-2018, then after graduating in 2018 I was employed with Connect Education as a lecturer in VCE English. Within a few months of my employment, due to my initiative in tailoring my tuition specifically to my students' needs, I was promoted to the creator of content for all English classes within the company. I created and delivered extremely effective lesson plans and PowerPoints, and saw immediate improvement in my students' work. I also worked as a private tutor for nine months in VCE English, Global Politics and Legal Studies. I can provide references of many happy students!

Tutoring Approach:

I excel in understanding the way each student learns best, and adapt my teaching style quickly and effectively. I am extremely attentive to my students' needs, and strike a great balance between personal and professional in order to build both confidence and skills. I put in significant time after each lesson to prepare for the next, develop new content specific to the student's needs, and double check my content is both in accordance with and extension of the Victorian school curriculum.
