Information about Henry - Burwood tutor

Personal Description:

My name is Henry. I am a third year medical student at UNSW. I'm originally from Adelaide and completed my SACE, the South Australian equivalent of HSC. I attained an ATAR of 99.60 and a UMAT score of 92. I received the Governor of South Australia's award for my year 12 results, as well as Prizes in RACI Chemistry Quizes and came 4th in the MASA Schools Mathematics Competition Year 11/12 category in 2013, 5th in the Year 11/12 category in 2012 and 1st in the Year 9/10 category in 2011. I have previous been a part of the Mathematics Olympiad Program as well as NMSS.

Tuition Experience:

Over the past year, I have been tutoring students undertaking the SACE in mathematics, primarily the accelerated program offered by some school. I also have experience in tutoring Year 9-10 mathematics as well as primary school English and Mathematics.

Tutoring Approach:

I generally would approach tutoring a student via a one on one interaction. I highly value the important of building a foundation of knowledge that students can use to further excel in their studies. Having gone through tuition myself, I value the notion that students want to understand quick and effective methods of studying, as opposed to repetition work. I highly regards interactive tutoring and seek to engage the student whenever possible. I hold a high standards for all students, as I feel that by bringing out the best in each student, they are able to maximise their potential and hence enjoy studying because they feel they are good at it.
