Personal Description:

Hi, I'm Brent. I'm an experienced secondary English and Humanities teacher and a current Head of English at an independent Melbourne-based school.
I am passionate about enriching the students' experience in English and Humanities.
As a working journalist for Fairfax Media and News Corp over the last decade, I have also extensive experience in teaching students the vital skills of persuasive writing and language analysis in the lead up to VCE exams.
I am currently teaching English in years 7, 9, 10 and VCE and have knowledge of the current Australian and Victorian curriculum.
I am also passionate about the reading program that we offer, and my tutoring services extends to primary school students from Grade 3. In this reading program, students are provided with weekly comprehension tests and points in order to accelerate their reading comprehension and vocabulary. In 2018, we will also be offering a language conventions program within our services.
We are a popular home based tuition service based in Werribee, Victoria.

Tuition Experience:

I am a current Faculty Head of English and Humanities at an independent Melbourne-based school and will once again be teaching Year 12 English in 2018. I have a terrific knowledge of the current VCE English study design.
From grade three level, I look to excel students' literacy levels to ensure they are at their best when it comes to NAPLAN and other national-based testing.

Tutoring Approach:
