Personal Description:
I am currently studying Medicine at the University of Newcastle, hopefully graduating in 2015. I completed my HSC in 2009, receiving band 6's in Maths and English, and topping Advanced Mathematics at my school.
I play the piano and like to travel in my spare time. I have plenty of experience with children, having babysat for many children over the last 5 years.
Tuition Experience:
Whilst at high school I tutored year 4 maths to young girl.
Studying medicine provides plenty of opportunity to teach others the concepts that they do not understand.
Tutoring Approach:
Rather than just learning and memorising methods and facts, I believe the best way to learn a concept is to go over it until you understand the reason behind it, and WHY you are doing something. For example, in maths, rather than just learning a formula to apply to certain questions, being sure that you understand why you are using that formula.
