Personal Description:

I am an Ontario Certified Teacher in the Primary/Junior division who has just recently graduated from University, so I am up-to-date on available resources and activities. I have previous experience tutoring high school and University students, as well as teaching experience in primary and junior grades.

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught in a JK/SK and grade 5/6 classroom as a student teacher, as well as volunteered in other grades. In University I took additional courses on teaching early years, and have much volunteer and teaching experience in JK/SK.
As a recent graduate from university, I am also able to help university/college students with study skills or writing. I worked for three years at a University as a peer mentor in the Writing and Study Skills Resource Centre, so I have plenty of tips on study skills, and am experienced in providing feedback on writing assignments. If you don't know how to get started on an assignment or want some feedback on your work, I would be more than happy to tutor in anyway I can.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to approach tutoring to meet the needs of the student. Some students may need me as a mentor that guides them through their learning, offering feedback and direction when needed. Other students may require me to take on a more teaching role where I explain concepts to them that they do not understand. Whatever works best for the student is my approach.
