Personal Description:
I am a freelance harpist and private teacher based in Bedford.
I have graduated from the Royal Academy of Music with a Master of Arts with Distinction and previously with a first class Bachelor of Music with Honours.
In addition to this, I also have a Licentiate from the Royal Academy of Music in harp teaching.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been teaching the harp to begginers and advanced students and the piano to begginers and early levels for over 11 years.
I also often attend harp and piano masterclasses which are also a way of learning from someone's teaching.
Tutoring Approach:
On every lesson I try to address a little bit of every aspect of playing an instrument and making music. With the tutee I work on technique, posture, musicality, rhythm, singing, aural skills, notation, sigh-reading, memory, improvisation and performance so that there is a simultaneous learning and lessons are varied and interesting.
