Personal Description:
Hello, I've been a piano teacher for more than 30 years. My pupils are prepared for ABRSM examinations if they so wish, and every term I enter pupils for these exams and they always do well. I also teach music theory very successfully and am able to explain and teach in a straightforward and easily understood way. I am extremely patient and care very much for all my pupils.

Tutoring Approach:
Patience combined with enthusiasm. Gentle pushing when needed, and never holding back a pupil to achieve a higher mark! Within just one year all my pupils have gone from complete beginner to grade 1 level. Some pupils have achieved grades 1, 3 and 4 all within a year. Some pupils enjoy more modern pieces and jazz and I love teaching these styles too. Adults, in particular, can be very nervous. I have developed methods which really help with coping with nerves and being able to play in public.
