Personal Description:

Hello everyone! I am a classically trained piano teacher. I started piano and eurhythmics lessons at the age of 3. I studied solo piano, ensembles and accompaniment as well as composition, vocals, violin and cello at a music conservatoire in Japan. During my university, I actively collaborated with instrumentalists and singers as an accompanist. My interests in music are not limited to performance and teaching but expanding my knowledge in the modern music industry, after completing a Bachelor of Music in Classical Piano Performance in Japan, I relocated to London to study MA in Music Industry Management.

Also, I accomplished teaching licenses for Music at the secondary school level in Japan and became a qualified music teacher. I am passionate about performance, music theory and especially teaching piano to students. Whether you aspire to be a musician in the future, want to have fun and leisurely enjoy it as a hobby, or just want to learn music theory diligently, I welcome all of you! Let's enjoy music together, at your pace and level, while keeping up with fundamental music theory.

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught piano and music theory to students back to since 2019 when I was in Japan. Most of the students are beginners and I have a lot of adult students who have wanted to learn music for a long time but never tried. After I finished my masters in London, I restarted teaching music here and now I teach many children and adults to support their musical journey.

Tutoring Approach:

I enjoy teaching and interacting with people and students through music. My teaching experience began back in university, taught piano and basic music theory to a wide range of pupils from children to adults. I believe that learning music could be a wonderful experience that will bring your life joy and expands your opportunities in many ways. I value communicating well with students first and getting to know them deeply. Technique and finger exercises are essential to learning the piano, however, it is better to learn the piano while enjoying the music by understanding each other's goals and personalities, and then taking an approach that best suits each student.

Location:
I am teaching mainly at home (NW8) with a YAMAHA P-515 keyboard, and also at practice rooms/studios in Baker Street or Edgware Road (an additional room renting fee will be applied). For children only, I visit students' houses if necessary with a transport fee applied.
