Yoana has given numerous recitals and performed as a concerto soloist for many years throughout Europe. Born in Bulgaria, she began playing the piano at the age of 5 and gave her debut solo recital at the age of 11. As a versatile and imaginative musician she studied piano performance at the State Academy of Music in Sofia with Anton Dikov, then at Trinity College of Music in London with Penelope Roskell. She has also worked with renowned pianists Idil Biret, Vera Gornostaeva, Peter Katin, Boris Bloch, Lazar Berman, Norma Fisher, Alberto Portuguese, Alexander Ardakov and Vladimir Krainev. She continues to captivate audiences with her outstanding technique and spontaneous approach. In 1995 she won the First Prize in the Virtuosi of the Piano International Competition in the Czech Republic, while in 1998 she was awarded the First Prize in the Carlo Soliva International Competition in Italy. In the following years, she also received first and third prizes in international competitions in her home country.

Yoana has been a regular performer for Bulgarian national TV and radios. She has also received the certificate for Outstanding Achievement outside Bulgaria from Stefan Sofianski the Mayor of Sofia. Since 2004, Yoana has been a London-based artist, and has during these years performed in many solo recitals, as well as chamber concerts. Her current and future plans involve performances at international stage. Her previous recordings include works by Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, and Scriabin.
