Information About Yinzhi - Brentford teacher

Personal Description:

I got my Bachelor of Music degree with distinction from Royal College of Music in 2021, and I am currently finishing my Master's degree at RCM in 2024. I am a prize winner of many international competitions, including the 1st place of the International Medtner Competition at Heidelberg and the 3rd place of Magnus International F. Liszt Piano Competition. I also won the 1st place in Chappell Medal Piano Competition and the 2nd place in Kendall Taylor Beethoven Piano Competition – ones of the most important competitions held by the Royal College of Music. I was invited to perform concerts across UK and the Continent, including London, Manchester, Brexton, Salzburg, Heidelberg, Mallorca etc.

Tutoring Experience:

I began teaching during my undergraduate studies. I taught students of all grades, from beginners to experts. Many of my students took ABRSM exams and all of them got Merit and above results, and I also helped my expert-level students getting offers from their dreaming university/conservatoire.

Tutoring Approach:

My lessons focus on developing musicianship as a whole, with comprehensive training of techniques and establishment of necessary aesthetics and artistry. My teaching materials and methodology involves the most up-to-date teaching practice and approach, aiming at not only improving the skills of playing piano but also inspiring student's interaction with the beautiful nature of music and overall understanding of far ranging music-relevant knowledge.
