Personal Description:

Hello, I’m Yendy De Abreu, I’m from Venezuela. I’m 33 years old, I’m musician. I have grown up in “El Sistema” of Venezuela. I have been in Scotland for almost 6 years, and before I came here I spent the last four years in Paris finishing my musical studies and working as a teacher of violin and viola in different schools.
I love knowing new cultures, exchanging ideas, I like to travel, know new places, new languages and a little bit of everything!

Tutoring Experience:

For more than 13 years I have worked with children of all ages as a music teacher, in individual lessons and also in group. In Venezuela I worked as a violist in the renowned “Teresa Carreño Orchestra” and also teaching children in the city of Caracas with “El Sistema”.
In the city of Rouen, France, I worked as a music teacher with "Le Poeme Harmonique", leading string instruments with the project of the Cardboard Orchestra.
In Paris I worked as a violin teacher at the school "Simplon", in the 18th district of Paris and also in the "Maria Canal" School.
I currently play in the Aberdeen City Orchestra and in the Ensemble Granite.
In Aberdeen I worked with “Sistema Scotland” “Big Noise” in Torry as a Senior Support Musician, thus having more experience working with children of all ages from nursery to P7.

Tutoring Approach:

I consider myself a very sociable person with patience for working with children. I’m very responsable, organised and always commited to my work. Each class I adapt to the needs of each child.
