Tutoring Experience:
I worked as a private piano teacher and accompanist for 10 years both in China and in the UK, also as a teaching assistant while in China.
During the past 6 years as a piano teacher in the UK, I worked with students from all ages, and all levels. I taught as a part- time teacher at the Bishopbriggs Music School before moved to Birmingham for my study.
I have taught many students who were taking the grading exams such as ABRSM, Trinity etc. and was very glad to share the success with them. The pass rate for the grading exam is 100%.
Tutoring Approach:
I am passionate about teaching and believe it is also important to share my love of music with my students.
I believe being able to enjoy music while learning is one of the most important things in the teaching process.
The detailed approach to the Tuition will be based upon individual -
Whether you are a young beginner or an advanced learner; whether you would want to focus on the grading exam or building a solid learning foundation. We will discuss what you would like for your learning, tailor the lessons, and learning plans according to your needs, take it step by step. Hopefully, enjoy the music along the way, and bring our shared love for music into all our working processes.
Everyone is a wonderful individual on its own and as a teacher, I would like to respect students' individuality and hope to develop the best possible way to work the best together.
I am a native Mandarin speaker, at the same time, I speak fluent English since I have been studying in the UK for the past 9 years. Having teaching experience in both languages has helped me develop my communication skills in my teaching as well as understand the importance of expressions during the lessons.
I am also available and experienced with Online Teaching, if you would like to have Online lessons, do contact me to discuss and arrange whichever platform you would like to use ( Skype, Zoom, Team etc… ) .

Unfortunately we were only given a weeks notice prior to a change in her lesson availability which meant we couldn’t continue. She was going to send us details of some other tutors, but we are still waiting! She emphasises technique very well but her particular style may not be to everyone’s liking.
