Personal Description:

I have been developing my professional career in music from an early age while studying at the Gymnasium of Music in Kaunas, Lithuania and later advanced to specialize in The Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre in Vilnius, Lithuania.

During the course of my Bachelor's degree, I participated in Master classes for solo and chamber music by distinguished Professors including Johannes Meissl (Vienna), Piotr Tarcholik (Krakow), Augustinas Vasiliauskas (Vilnius), Petras Kunca (Vilnius).

After my graduation, I have been playing the violin at the Musical Theatre Orchestra in Kaunas, Lithuania.
Over the last ten years since I have been living in London, I participated in several orchestras ( London City Philharmonic, Mozart Symphony Orchestra, London Film Music Orchestra) and specifically geared towards an orchestra musician.

Tutoring Experience:

I have over ten years of teaching experience in London School of Arts, private tuition, workshops, and online tuition via Skype.

Tutoring Approach:

I have a great Interest in teaching and working with talented students from all age groups and abilities. I believe this is a role to which I could bring great value, exercising and broadening my music teaching experience and helping students develop their talents and passion for music.

We work with at least one new piece and several pieces that are kept maintained and improved on a repertoire.
We also work on special projects like improvisation/composition, music theory work, and ensemble pieces. We will then focus on a particular need or difficulty the student has with a piece. This might mean that we work only with one aspect of a piece, let's say phrasing the whole lesson. Many lessons are also spent teaching the student how to practice, this is maybe the most important of it all.
