Personal Description:
After studying music for 3 years at University along with working at several music schools, I now have over 7 years of teaching experience.
I play guitar and write music in a signed touring band and have a great deal of knowledge on Composition, songwriting, performance, music technology and all modern techniques required in the current music industry that I can pass onto my students.
I can teach most guitar styles and I specialise in Rock, Pop, Acoustic and Blues styles.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been teaching guitar for over 10 years working for both myself and at music schools around the Midlands. During this time I have learnt many invaluable ways on how to keep my students motivated and achieve success.
I have also been into schools with IEM (Industry Education in Music) to do workshops with students, teaching them about the music industry, from songwriting to playing in a touring band.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach is to keep things fresh. Learning popular and/or classic songs is the best way to learn new techniques and to keep things interesting for my students.
Lessons are tailored to suit the students needs.
I can help students learn their favourite songs, learn new techniques and help them understand music theory on the guitar.
I can help students attain Grades 1 - 8. I currently have a 100% pass rate.
I also beginner level music production tuition on Logic Pro X. Music technology is an extremely useful tool for songwriters to learn about and I can help!
