This is how 3 referees rated Tom:
I have been teaching for a number of years and currently have over 40 students per week ranging from beginner to advanced. I teach both privately and in primary and secondary schools.
Lessons can either be from the comfort of your own home, or from my studio (at a reduced rate).
I am a graduate of the Academy Of Contemporary Music in Guildford holding both a Higher Diploma (with distinction) and an Honors Degree in music performance. I have been playing guitar for over 15 years and have a vast experience of playing live.
I have shared the stage with acts such as:
Rag N Bone Man
Less Than Jake
Major festival appearances include:
Isle of Wight Festival
Glass Butter Beach Festival
I am fully CRB checked also.
Please don't hesitate to get in touch and arrange a suitable time for you.
Over 5 years privately and in primary/secondary schools.
No student is the same. I always start out extremely simple and build up the difficulty gradually. I think it's extremely important not to move on from something unless the student has got it completely perfect.
I always encourage use of a metronome for practice as this is extremely important for developing rhythm and timing. It's also an extremely useful tool for building speed.
More than anything I want the student to be happy with what they're learning, so I always ask for as much input from them as possible.
