Personal Description:

With over 15 years of professional experience as a musician, I have performed in a wide range of genres and ensembles alongside top artists and bands. My passion lies in Jazz, Latin/World, and Funk/R&B, but I also enjoy teaching Pop, Rock, and other styles.

Throughout my career, I have toured across the UK, Europe and US and I hold a BMus(hons) in Bass Guitar. I have also served in HM Royal Marines Band Service for 8 years as a Tuba, String Bass and Bass Guitar player.

As a dedicated and experienced teacher, I have been providing private lessons for the past decade. My teaching approach is tailored to each student's individual needs, combining theory, technique and aural skills to help them develop a strong musical foundation. I strive to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment either from my own home or the students.

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught students of all abilities privately for over 10 years.

I conduct one-to-one lessons and also group lessons with other tutors and their students.

Tutoring Approach:

My lessons are tailored to suit the students personal aims and goals. The lessons can be light, casual and fun where we can learn your favourite songs by ear and explore different styles of playing. Or, they can focus on sight reading, harmony and theory, scales, work towards an exam and develop advanced playing techniques.
