Information About Tiago - Paddington teacher
This is how 2 referees rated Tiago:
I'm a 23 year old Portuguese cellist, finishing a Master of Arts degree at the Royal Academy of Music, London. I'm fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese and really comfortable with French.
I love to play in orchestras, chamber music and, of course, teach.
I'm a prize winner in multiple music competitions in Portugal and abroad, director of a cello music festival (summer) and I've been teaching all ages and levels for 7 years!
I've taught from beginners to advanced levels in both public and private sectors.
I started working at a music Academy in Coimbra, Portugal, at the age of 16, giving me many early tools into the art of teaching. I proceeded to follow my college degree in Oporto, continuing to teach privately both amateurs and colleagues of mine, tutoring them on the side.
My earliest age student was 8 years old and my oldest was 65.
My approach is quite simple. Learning while having fun and enjoying the great luxury of playing an instrument like the cello.
Yes, it is a really hard instrument to master, but persistance, strength and will power can transform a really hard task into the sublime sound the instrument can produce.
I only require effort and willingness to learn from me! I am really patient, caring and devoted!
