Information About Thomas - Newcastle teacher

Personal Description:

My is Thomas I have played guitar and bass guitar for 11 years in various different style bands and music ensembles. I play in various original/cover bands and work part time at Northumbria University and volunteer once a week at Oxfam's Gateshead shop as Assistant Manager. I enjoy all aspects of music and have a broad music taste but most importantly I enjoy passing on my skills and experience onto others.

Tutoring Experience:

I have some experience teaching beginners guitar in individual lessons. I have a wide range of playing experience in different genres and I am therefore able to teach several different styles of guitar such as Jazz, Pop and Rock. Alongside my practical playing abilities I am able to provide pupils with basic to advanced theory skills which will allow them to further progress in their playing abilities and knowledge of their instrument.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to music tuition is to whatever line of teaching suites the pupil best. I do not have a set style of teaching or a set curriculum as I prefer to teach the pupil in a way they find enjoyable. If they want to take graded exams I would follow Registry of Guitar Teachers (RGT) syllabus.
