Personal Description:
Tania is classically trained as a dramatic soprano singer.
Experienced in many areas of music, Tania teaches a wide range of ages privately and in schools (including Stagecoach Stirling and Edinburgh), performs regularly and composes.
Latest performances include a cooperative lunchtime concert with classical guitarist Finlay Anderson at Greyfriars Kirk. Tania is also currently performing solo at The University of Edinburgh during public recitals.
Although busy with many projects, Tania has a passion for teaching. Winner of the Academic Excellence Award during her time at Edinburgh College, she realized that the academic side of music is as exciting as the practical side, and so, her teaching will most likely have a theoretical component, complimenting singing lessons and group classes.

Tutoring Experience:
My teaching experience has been growing at a fast pace. I’m currently teaching in primary schools and in Stagecoach Performing Arts School. But I teach all ages - so far, the youngest ever was three years old, and the oldest 60+, all ages should sing!
Tutoring Approach:
As for music theory, I strongly advise using online resources to improve aural skills and sight-reading, so that the theory being learned is applied to instrumental playing, keyboard skills, and composition. Nothing is in vain as everything connects to music theory!
Resources may be provided. (Past papers on music theory, and singing pieces. I also own a keyboard to accompany or to exemplify music theory exercises.)
