French Canadian born soprano, Sylvie came to England on a Canada Arts Council Scholarship to train at the English National Opera with Channel 4’s Operatunity star, Mary King. Since then, Sylvie has toured intensively in the UK and abroad, sung at the Royal Opera House, performed in the West End and in the London Fringe.
Sylvie has over fifteen years’ experience teaching privately as well as in conservatoires in Canada and England. She has trained several young singers privately as individuals and in groups and has a large repertoire of musical theatre, classical, folk, pop and opera songs.
Sylvie has 100% success rates for students entering ABRSM music exams.
She teaches breathing techniques, posture alignement, sight-singing and music theory whilst going through a variety of different songs and styles to stretch the natural voice's ability.
