Information About Stephen - Acton teacher

Personal Description:

I have been playing drums now for 10 years. I have had extensive gigging, recording and writing experience. I have also had experience working with theatre companies and orchestras/concert bands gigging all around the UK and Europe. At 16 I started teaching at a well established music school, and quickly gained my grade 8 distinction and an A-Level in Music Technology. At 18, I broke the Guiness world record playing drums continuously for 60 hours and am currently in training for the new record of 72 hours. I moved to London 4 years ago, and am now currently studying at the London College of Music, with a degree on the way. Most popular genres played have been Rock, Funk, Jazz, Reggae and Pop, but love the challenge of something new. I am flexible, motivated, keen, focussed and committed in all I do. Music is my life. I have a good ear for music and I can play Keyboards, Ukuele, Bass, Guitar.

Tutoring Experience:

As well as plenty of private teaching in my spare time, I worked as a drum tutor for 2 years, at a well established music school in Norfolk.
Quickly, I worked my way up the ladder and took on up to 20 students by the end, most of which passed their rockschool grades with me.

Tutoring Approach:

I like my students to feel comfortable and relaxed when in a lesson with me. It is important that my student has a goal, in which I can give him/her the neccessary skills to achieve it.
I prefer to teach outside my house, in which depending on the distance, I may ask for travel expenses.
