Information About Sönke - Hackney teacher

Personal Description:

A musician who became a composer and producer. Starting with classical Piano at the age of nine, I switched to keyboards and playing in bands when I was 15. Then grew ever more interested in the recording site of it and worked in a professional recording studio for many years.
Am now running my own project studio and am producing electronic music.
I have been composing for the BBC (Newsround, Blue Peter and other childrens' programmes) and have worked for record companies (i.e. remixing and producing).
I also have good knowlege of instruments. I play Piano and Keyboards, they are my main instruments, but also play Guitar, Bass and Drums good enough to record to CD.

Tutoring Experience:

9 years teaching experience at a college in London. Teaching Music Technology from beginners to higher national level (that is similar to foundations degree).
I'm now teaching privately (or freelance) in recording studios and rather than teaching students at schools or colleges I sometimes "train the trainers" in those institutions.

Tutoring Approach:

I'm an expert with most music programmes and computers. I also know most modern Samplers and Keyboards and am able to create sounds and program those machines. My preference lies with Apple computers and the Logic sequencing platform.
