Personal Description:

I teach the following instruments: Acoustic Guitar, Bass Guitar, Classical Guitar, Electric Guitar, Flamenco Guitar, Ukulele and Music Theory.
Bass, Classical and Electric Guitar up to Grade VIII (Rockschool/Trinity).
Ability Levels: Beginners to Advanced.

I studied with several teachers for approx.15 years in total up to grade 8 on classical, electric and bass guitar and have attended several residential courses where I studied with well known players such as David Russell and Juan Martin.

Tutoring Experience:

I have over 25 years experience of teaching pupils aged 5 to 80, individually and in classes and have made approximately 330 entries with Rockschool and Trinity boards up to Diploma level on bass guitar.

Tutoring Approach:

I am dedicated to teaching and playing music and I base my tuition on the best aspects of all those I have studied with.
I encourage students to take exams as the fastest way of making progress but my main aim is to make lessons enjoyable!
I have over 30 guitars as well as a substantial music library. I also had drum lessons and took Rockschool grades up to grade 5.
I prefer to teach from home but could visit if local.
I hold a DBS (Enhanced) certificate and am a member of the Musicians' Union.
