Information About Simon - Newcastle teacher

Personal Description:

I have recently graduated from the folk and traditional music degree at Newcastle Univercity with Upper Second Class Honours. I have been educated by Chris Newman and Duck Baker and other experienced musicians on the folk and traditional music scene as well as rock and jazz musicians. Primarily a finger-style guitarist i am now also experienced as a flat-picker . I enjoy passing knowledge onto those new to the guitar and to the more experienced student. I play in a band that plays folk and traditional music Twisted String Theory and also an electric band called James Dalzell and the Rear View Mirrors as well as solo.

Tutoring Experience:

I have tought a variety of adults on a one to one basis and children at a local primary school. I am willing to teach a wide age range, from young children to the elderley.

Tutoring Approach:

I am a friendly and supportive tutor and am willing to work with those suffering from learning difficulties such as dyslexia
