Information About Simon - Lincoln teacher

Personal Description:

My name is Simon and I have been playing drums for over 30 years and a graduate of London College of Music and Media. Throughout my studies I gained a Higher National Diploma and a BMUS Hons in Popular Music Performance.

Tutoring Experience:

I have played and recorded extensively throughout the UK, Europe and South East Asia with a number of artists in various styles.
In 2004 I started an 8 year stint teaching at one of Europe’s leading drum schools Drumtech Teaching Studios London (Now BIMM).
Here I had the chance to really broaden my knowledge within the education sector resulting in teaching students from all over the world.

Over the 12 years that I lived in London I continued to further my skills by having lessons with some of the best UK drummers/educators.

Tutoring Approach:

Fully DBS Checked, Step by step tuition focusing on the fundamentals of Drum-set playing from beginner through to Advanced studies. Some of these topics will include Timekeeping, Feel , Hand & Foot Technique,Coordination, Styles and related Vocabulary , Backing Tracks, Song Analysis, Single Line Reading/ Chart Reading, and Ergonomic Study. RSL Grades 1-8 and Trinity Rock and Pop Grades 1-8 also covered if required.
