Personal Description:

l'm an italian professional pianist. I began studying classical piano at the age of eleven and I studied at the Lecce Music Conservatory (Italy). I hold a Master’s Degree in Piano Performance and a Master’s Degree in Jazz Music from Conservatory of Lecce. I also attended several masterclasses with Robert Durso, François-Joël Thiollier, Andrea Padova and Enrico Pieranunzi.

I specialize in many styles of piano and have received numerous prizes at national piano competitions. My album “Flowing” is the result of a prize in the music competition "Giuseppe Tricarico" (May 2016 - Gallipoli, Italy) which I won and which allowed me to produce this record. It was released in December 2018.
In June 2019 I was one of the Top Prize winners in the International Online Quebec Music Competition (Montreal, Canada), where I played my own composition called “Latin Jazz Etude – Una Noche en el Barrio” and I also won the First Place at the San Francisco International Innovative Music Competition (San Francisco, United States – 2019 Summer Edition).

As a piano teacher, Silvio has more than 10 years of experience, whose students range in age from 5 to 60 plus. I encourage music study not only for performance success, but also for personal development. In the end, we study the piano for the love of music, gifting ourselves with a skill that we will have for life.
I love working with very young children and with old beginners as well. I am a very patient and approachable piano teacher and always study music pedagogy to be a better teacher.
I served as vicepresident and piano teacher the Music School “Oda – Officina Degli Artisti” (Taurisano, Italy) for 6 years.
In September 2018 I had the chance to lead workshops about jazz music in Santo Domingo at Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo, National Conservatory of Music and Academia de Música de Patricia Logroño.
To further hone my teaching skills, in 2019 I attended additional pedagogy courses at the Conservatory of Lecce (Italy). Moreover, after teaching jazz for years, I have developed and tested Orff-methods to teach piano jazz and blues to all ages.
Since December 2018 I have been collaborating as sheet music arranger with the US-based website **Web Address Removed**, the world's leading digital sheet music retailer. Interpreting and arranging Ennio Morricone’s themes is one of my major area of competence.

In addition to being a musician, I have expertise in business. I graduated with first class honours (110/110 cum laude) in Economics and Finance from the University of Salento in 2013.
