Information About Sheng-Che - Birmingham teacher
This is how 2 referees rated Sheng-Che:
A native of Taiwan, Ian Sheng-Che Wu is a graduate of the Birmingham Conservatoire, where he studied the flute with Judith Hall and Frank Nolan. He is an active freelance flautist and enthusiastic music teacher based in the Birmingham area. His teaching methods are wide and varied, and is happy to teach students in preparation for ABRSM/Trinity music exams, auditions or just for fun.
I have many years of experience teaching privately and also in schools. I have taught students of all ages from 6 years old to adult, and all levels from beginner to pre music college level.
I mainly teach at home in Birmingham City Centre, however, I am also willing to discuss travelling to you if you are nearby (I add on an extra fee for travel if I teach elsewhere).
I am a Flute teacher and I also teach the piano. And like to integrate aural and music theory as separate lessons or into each instrumental lesson.
I believe that everyone has the potential to be musical and that music playing is a form of personal expression.
No matter which genre of music we choose to play. Students should aim to attain a very high standard of musicality thus building a lifelong solid foundation. Hence, my teaching tend to focus on studies, scales and fingering techniques, plus some classical music pieces that keep the learning interesting.
