Personal Description:

My name's Serban, and I'm a professional drummer/percussionist with 32 years experience performing live in rock and symphonic orchestras. My qualifications, teaching experience, passion and long standing dedication to this wonderful instrument hold me in good stead.
I started learning and playing music at 6 years age, as a pianist.
I am a friendly and professional music teacher who loves helping others experience the joy of music. Whether you're already a competent player or an absolute beginner, technique and musicianship will be at the forefront of your lessons should you choose me as your teacher.

Tutoring Experience:

My students are always encouraged to perform their pieces in such a way that even the most basic ones are a pleasure to listen to, not merely a collection of notes that don't say anything.
My aim is to transmit my passion and love for music to my students and helping them developing their skills and have a great time doing so.
My focus is to give each student the tools to play whatever music they desire to, according the the professional standards of the given genre, as well as to arm them with the ability to develop themselves further down the line and create their own artistic voice.

Tutoring Approach:

I firmly believe in the importance of music lessons being enjoyable and rewarding, so I encourage the students to learn to play the songs and music they love. It is also important to me that they learn a bit about music theory, how to read music, and how to play the instrument with a good technique.
