I am so grateful to be working with Gillian, and excitednto see her continued development!
I can highly recommend Scott to anyone looking for a violin/fiddle teacher! :-)
I am so happy that you are enjoying your lessons, and I am grateful for your feed back.
Firstly, it may seem as though this is stating the obvious but Scott knows his subject. Not all who set-up as tutors in various fields have the advanced level of knowledge to instruct others. Secondly, he has the 'consultant' approach in that he doesn't have the 'one size fits all' mentality. He treats people as individuals and 'prescribes', in the manner of a consultant, the appropriate course of action to help the student to achieve his goals. Thirdly, he is an effective 'transceiver' in that he has good listening skills to receive information and good communication skills to transmit to the student his thoughts and instructions.
Oh, and he has a pretty good sense of humour. Who was it that said Canadians don't laugh?
