Kids through to Grandparents, whatever level of grasp- I’m here to help.

My strengths have been singled out by Osfted. With commendation by all Inspectors. I've been quoted as exemplar for other teachers to embed similar practice. I appreciate music in all its forms. Specialities include Music Theatre, elements of World Music styles, composing and performing. I also have a continued interest in music production. I like to explore different DAW and emerging online platforms.

Tutoring Approach:

Tuition is currently online only

Anyone can learn to play a piece of music or sing a song. But if your aim is to connect with your audience and make them feel the emotion of what you’re playing and singing. It takes time and character to bring it to life. I'll help you unlock and discover your excitement, satisfaction and confidence. Your wants and needs are listened to and heard- To help turn your music fear into career.

Break away from the traditional ‘expectations’ and explore the awesome freedom of different styles and increased confidence. You’ll be able to compose your own piece & play in front of an audience. You’ll blush at the compliments as people flock to you for a (virtual) selfie. Your family will think you lead a secret double life!

If only everything was so simple as to skip to the part where you're awesome! If you had dessert before your main meal every time, you’d never look forward to the treat at the end- or enjoy the journey along the way. You’d miss out on all the extra flavours and textures. It’s the same with music. Music’s about being creative and the whole lotta benefits that you’d miss if you could already play everything. When you play and create- you get the full menu. Sure there’ll be some dishes you might not get on with to start with - but if you always have the same, you’ll never know what it’s like to try something new.

You’ve gotta start somewhere if you wanna make the final cut. You could continue with the same mistakes. Confused with info overload, no clarity or feedback. Or, with a World Class, Educator, Mentor & Coach. You’ll get someone who understands your needs & listens. Someone who works with you for meaningful results, with you in the driving seat. You'll even discover the same vocal technique that helped Bradley Cooper win a Grammy! (for 'A Star is Born')

Don't just take my word for what's in store for you. Here's some feedback from some of my clients.

"I highly recommend Scott to anyone looking for a singing teacher. He is a fun, enthusiastic and extremely knowledgeable teacher adaptable to any styles of singing. Scott is very flexible; he always focuses his lessons on the style of music the pupil would like to sing. He always explains the reasons for his techniques and as a pupil I was made aware of the importance of vocal health. In the three years that he taught me I grew in confidence with my singing ability which has encouraged me to take part in performances at school as well as university." - Becky

"I never thought in a million years that Isaac would ever have the confidence to play in front of an audience, let alone play a piece he’d created himself! Isaac really looks forward to his lessons with you. I’ve lost count of the times he has said “I wish it could be Friday everyday”. Thank you for showing us that he has the potential to take his music learning to the next level."
- Jenny

“Most useful about the lessons – for me it is just the confidence thing. First off was hearing from you that my voice was not so terminally awful that I could train it to be a passable singing voice. And then next, your detail detail detail on the phrasing and tiny thing about each song shows me how to go about improving. And of course, learning that it’s a physical thing and you have to train your body in breathing, relaxation, and all those consonants and vowels. Oh yes, and listening! You are an excellent teacher.” "The lessons are excellent value for money. What you give people is hugely valuable and they will be happy to pay it” “Scott is an excellent singing teacher. He is so encouraging, and has the detailed knowledge and personal qualities that build your confidence and your ability as you progress from lesson to lesson. And what a gift – to learn to sing!” - Lizzie

"You teaching me Piano has changed me completely. From barely knowing what a Piano was, to playing on a Steinway in front of an audience! Everything I’ve learnt has been really fun and has definitely been worth the practise."
- Amalie
