Information About Sarah - Leicester teacher

Personal Description:

I have been involved in music my entire life in some form or another. I began playing the flute at the age of 9 and after competing and winning a variety of local music festivals, I decided to continue with my studies at University. As a Graduate of the University of Chichester, my Honours degree gave me the opportunity to specialise in Instrumental Teaching, Music in the Community and Music and The Mind. This gave me ample training in teaching music to all age and ability groups and in many different environments. Since then I have been teaching in schools as a music teacher, as an ‘After School Club’ leader and also holding priva**Contact Detail Removed**ssons within Sheehans Music Academy in Leicester.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching the flute, saxophone and theory at Sheehans Academy for the last 5 years. I have taught in a variety of settings, in schools, at home, within a music academy, also in groups and individually. I teach lots of age groups from young children to adults, from beginners to more advanced pupils.

Tutoring Approach:

I try to make music fun and informative, my approach is to make sure all the fundamentals are covered in a structured yet relaxed way making them become a natural part of playing, enabling the pupil to create their own learning environment.

Lessons take place at Sheehens music shop in Leicester.
