Information About Sara - Nottingham teacher
This is how 2 referees rated Sara:
I am a violin, viola and musicianship teacher. Teaching combines my enjoyment of learning with a passion for passing that learning onto others.
I have taught violin and viola for 20 years in schools and privately. My current pupils range in age from 3 years to 60 years old.
I teach a relaxed and fluent violin/viola technique that encourages a pleasant sound right from the start and makes it possible to achieve your potential.
I teach with rhymes, songs, puppets and percussion. I use fun Kodály games and activities so that musicality blossoms. These teach musical concepts such as pulse, rhythm, pitch and notation which are necessary for any musician whether an instrumentalist or a singer.
As pupils gain in confidence I am happy to take them through grade exams. I do not usually do all of the grades as I use them as markers not stepping stones.
I offer a free "taster" session to ensure you are happy with my approach. Beginners can either start with a half hour private lesson or else they can join one of my group violin classes (prices dependant on the number of pupils in the class) with a short,10 or 15 minute private lesson before or after the group class.
