Personal Description:

I am an experienced woodwind tutor and taught in Private Education for over 15 years, plus part-time for a number of different LEA Music Services. I love helping people achieve their potential. The satisfaction of witnessing students grow and learn to master their musical instrument is wonderful.

Everyone learns a musical instrument for their own reasons and I work with you to ensure you achieve your musical goals. I enjoy teaching adults and children alike and making learning fun.

Tutoring Experience:

I have a BA hons in Music and the CT ABRSM (Certificate of Teaching - Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music). I've taught individual and group lessons for over 26 years and was a highly regarded member of the visiting peripatetic staff at Stafford Grammar School.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe every pupil is an individual with their own learning styles. It is important to get alongside my pupils and understand what motivates and inspires them, so together we can tailor their lessons to help them achieve their full potential.

I combine visual, audio and kinaesthetic learning techniques to engage the brain, enabling pupils to have fun while they develop their instrumental skills and musical understanding.
