Personal Description:
Award winning guitar tutor specialising in Jazz.
First lesson is free! You are welcome here or I can drive to you, or alternatively I also teach online.
Hello, I'm Sam, a guitarist specialising in Jazz, Rock and Blues guitar. I am a graduate of Leeds College Of Music with a 1st class Honours in BA Jazz Guitar. I achieved the highest mark in my year and was awarded the conservatoire scholarship. I have just moved to London and most of my time is spent playing, listening, and teaching music. I also work part time as a Music Therapist in SEN schools across London. In my spare time I like to take part in activism, read, and of course travel!
Tutoring Experience:
I have had many guitar tutors over the years. I have accumulated lots of knowledge about the guitar and more importantly, music in general. I can provide a wealth of resources such as books, handouts, cd's, and backing tracks, spanning a range of genres and levels.
Tutoring Approach:
I really enjoy the mutual exchange of information within one to one lessons, everybody has something to offer, even if you dont believe you do… I can always learn from you, no matter what level you are. Together we can fine tune your natural abilities, and if you like, we can get stuck in to music theory. Do not be intimidated by this, knowing the theory behind what you are playing can be very satisfying for some, but you may just want to play 'by ear'… This is fine! Whatever it is, we will relate everything back to your strengths and tailor the lessons to you. The most important thing with any instrument is SIMPLICITY. This is arguably the most rewarding and enjoyable aspect of music and the older i get the more i believe this.
Please don't hesitate to get in touch :)

Highly recommended !
Sam
Sam creates an incredibly relaxed environment where you don't feel anxious or nervous to make mistakes. Each lesson progresses further at your own pace, but at the same time can be very challenging when invited to be.
Sam is incredibly empathic on what your goals are as a player, and really pushes you to try as hard as you can.
He's a great laugh as well. It won't be a mistake getting him onboard your Musical journey.
