Information About Ruth - Thornton-cleveleys teacher
This is how 2 referees rated Ruth:
A highly qualified and experienced teacher, I’m based in Thornton-Cleveleys, teaching piano and music theory from beginners to advanced. Children from age 3, teenagers, adults and students with special educational needs and disabilities are all welcome. Lessons are available on Monday to Thursday evenings at my home studio, or on Friday evenings in the comfort of your own home (subject to travel expenses). My home studio houses a Yamaha conservatoire grand piano, as well as a top of the range Yamaha stage piano. Students are able to take piano exams with Trinity College or the London College of Music, if desired.
I was a peripatetic piano teacher at Highfield Priory School in Preston, as well as head of keyboard studies at Rossall School in Fleetwood. I’ve also worked for Lancashire Music Service, deputising for heads of department at local high schools. My students have achieved a 100% pass rate in exams, with a large proportion attaining merit or distinction grades. Several students have taken music degrees and pursued careers in sound engineering and music/general education.
I’m a conscientious teacher and I encourage all my students to realise their full potential in their own piano playing. Lessons are tailored to each student’s age and ability, are engaging and above all, fun!
