Personal Description:
**UPDATE - I currently only have availability during school hours, after school is now fully booked**
I have grade 8 piano and flute, and throughout my childhood played for several county groups. I have continued playing through adulthood and have been teaching piano and music theory privately for 8 years. I play in local bands and love to compose and perform. Whether you are looking to learn music theory and note reading, or if you want to sit exams, or if you are just after the tools to be able to improvise and compose then I will be glad to help.
Tutoring Experience:
I have 8 years experience teaching piano privately to beginner and intermediate students across all age ranges. I have a range of resources to aid both learning the piano and learning to read music.
I have 2 years experience working at the local college, and from this a Preparing to Teach in the Life Long Learning Sector (PTLLS) qualification. In addition, I privately tutor students in mathematics (please see my FirstTutors Academic profile for more information on this).
I have an enhanced and updated DBS certificate.
Tutoring Approach:
Whatever age you may be, knowing the basics such as theory and scales will speed up your learning process! They may sound dull, but will be taught in fun and interactive ways. I am happy to teach for all purposes - those who wish to progress through the grade system and those who wish to learn for their own private enjoyment (and anyone in between!).
Lessons will always be individually tailored to suit the needs of the students.

Many thanks Rosie for all of your help, just hoping for good results in August.
Even though we have not had her results yet, our daughter feels that she could not have coped with the higher paper without her help.
We would welcome Rosie back to our home anytime, and we thank her for all her help.
All the very best in the future Rosie.
Dawn & Graham.
We found Rosie very easy to get on with and she bonded well with our son. They had fun in the sessions which was so important. Won't have any problems recommending her to anyone and would definately use her again.

She was patient & taught Maths in a manner that was easy to understand & learn. She was very thorough covering all the topics required for her exam.
She passed her exams with flying colours!
