Information About Romain - Acton teacher

Personal Description:

Born in 79, Romain “Rom.D” has been playing drums and percussions since the age of 12. He is especially attracted by Latin, Afro-Cuban, jazz rhythms, funk, this passion came by attending over several years, the international Nice Jazz festival in FRANCE, his hometown.

Based in London now since 1999, Romain received a drummer degree with a distinction from TVU (Thames Valley University) and “Drumtech School” in London. Currently, he is playing with several groups in jazz venues, nightclubs, restaurants, festivals….

He also work at the “Institute Modern School of Music” one of the best European Music School.

He is also the permanent member of 3 major and highly professional bands, for which he plays & composes:
- The “Rom.d Jazz Collective” a Jazz/Fusion band (**Web Address Removed**)
- Flexie, a Soul and R’n’B band ( **Web Address Removed**)
- Batusamba, a 10 pieces percussionist band (**Web Address Removed**)

Rom.d enjoys attending jams sessions, where he can meet with other musicians. He has thus played with Kool’n’the Gang, Marcus Miller, Keziah Jones, Orishas, Gary Crosby, Soweto Kinch……)

Tutoring Experience:

It's been now 5 years that i teach and play professionaly.

I also work at the “Institute Modern School of Music” one of the best European Music School.
I'm serious musician and I love to share my passion with students and others musicians,
I' have got a few students who now play in fedstivals and big venues.

Tutoring Approach:

i've got my own drums book and lessons
from beginner to advanced player.
As well i adapt myself to the student. I always encourage and listen to the need of my student.
Always keep the smile and be 100% of what i teach.
Do a few exercices then change, small game sometimes, always keep it interesting and i always give my best for the students.
