Personal Description:

Hello there,

I am an enthusiastic musician who feels that providing others with an indepth understanding of music is key to improved performance, musical education and most importantly enjoyment for all who take an interest in this art form.

I currently study to improve my musical skills meaning that all information given is current and up-to-date.

I have studied intensively during my time in further and higher education working with a variety of teachers, lecturers and fellow musicians who excel in their musical specialities. I have studied at the University of Liverpool for two years where I was a member of the university orchestra, and choir as well as co-co-ordinator of the music school's first composition workshop project.

I have Grade VI ABRSM Music Theory and Grade VI ABRSM Piano as well as years of vocal training.

Please get in touch if you are interested in a passionate tutor for personal musical development and/or exam preparation Grade I-VI. I hope to hear from you soon.

Happy music making!

Tutoring Experience:

This will be my first time teaching privately. I look forward to generating a positive study environment with a variety of students.

Tutoring Approach:

I happily tutor on a one to one basis or in small groups of upto 4 for early beginners and young children. Parents are always welcome.

Theoretical music tuition is given in an active environment where written notational excersises are combined with listening activites for the topics covered within each lesson. I have found that better results come from learning music theory and aural preficiency simultaniously for long term benefits in musical development.

Compostion excercises are given to direct the acquired knowledge toward a creative outlet.

For early beginners, hands on experience playing on a piano and rhthym percussive instruments will be available for anyone who would benefit from this. Vocal participation will be requested for the aural activities.

Consultation lessons are free. Following this, you may choose to have lessons of 30mins, 45mins or 1-2 hours at a time to suite your schedule.
