Personal Description:
I have been a professional musician for 30 years. I have worked extensively as a performer/session musician for some of the biggest names in the industry, including Cat Stevens, Jermaine Jackson, The Waterboys, Lesley Garrett among others. I have a wide experience of all styles of music and have been a professsional composer and Musical Director for the last twenty years.
Tutoring Experience:
I have taught alongside my work for the last 15 years… I have a 100% pass rate for grade exams, most of which have been distinctions, but also have coached people for auditions to music acadamies, worked as a vocal coach on many recording projects and live shows.
Tutoring Approach:
Music is about learning the mechanics of playing… or singing… but it has also to do with the expression of music. The interpretation of the music and the performance. I aim to provide an oppurtunity to learn the language of an instrument and then how to use it in the best way.
