Personal Description:
I am a classically trained pianist and have studied with a number of the leading professors from the Royal College of Music. I received a distinction in Grade 8 piano and I have LRSM and ABRSM Diploma certificates.
Tutoring Experience:
I have taught for the last few years at Sussex Academy of Music and at primary and secondary schools in the Worthing and Littlehampton areas. I have had a 100% pass rate in exams and a number of my students have received distinctions. One of my students went on to study at the Purcell School.
Tutoring Approach:
I like to teach piano in a structured way working systematically through the grade exams. Students have the option of working on the Classical or the Rock and Pop syllabus. However, it's important for the lessons to be fun and for the students to enjoy them so I like to work with students on pieces outside of the mainstream syllabus which they would like to play.

Mrs Thompson
His knowledge of music history and music is vast, he has given me direction that I had been missing from my previous tutor and I feel that is being reflected in my my music. I also found Robert to be very understanding of the music I enjoyed playing and the path that I choose to take regarding exam boards.
Highly recommend Robert for lessons, great value for money and a great tutor.
