Personal Description:
I am a professional songwriter/performer who has been playing guitar for over 20 years. I offer something unique to anyone looking to enjoy their playing, alongside the creation/discovery that come with it.
Tutoring Experience:
I have no formal music qualifications, and have slowly developed a playing style that is unique to my own artistic voice. I am not informed/influenced by any particular teaching practices; I simply seek to connect students to the pleasure of playing guitar. Everyone has their own unique voice - I can help uncover yours and nurture it.
Tutoring Approach:
Lessons will be easy, relaxed and personable. Early on, we will establish:
1. The music we have in common (my tastes are eclectic and far-reaching).
2. What makes you want to pick up the guitar.
3. What (if any) skills you have already.
From there we will gradually build goals, using these to structure our lessons, and go about achieving them at our own pace.
I offer my first lesson absolutely free, allowing us to establish a working relationship before any commitment is made.
