Personal Description:

I studied at The Royal Northern College of Music where I gained both my Graduate and Post-Graduate Diplomas in Advanced Performance and studied with eminent cellists, Marius May, Antonio Lysy and Eduardo Vassallo. Masterclasses with Steven Iserliss and Bruno Shrecker. Since leaving the RNCM some 20 years ago, I have worked with many of the leading UK orchestras and West End shows both as a cellist and conductor.

Tutoring Experience:

I have 25 years experience as a teacher both within the State, Private and Specialist Music school systems, as well as private tuition. I was active in the creation of the Junior Strings Project, now the RNCM string teachers qualification and have under gone the ABRSM examiner training.

Tutoring Approach:

I have a very open approach to teaching and am student lead in terms of goals and aspirations. i am happy to teach a wide range of ages and abilities and adult beginners are very welcome.
