Personal Description:

Both face to face and online lessons available. Hi there, my name is Reyan and I am based in Brockley, London. I have graduated my Masters in Music from the Royal Northern College of Music. I have worked as a freelance cellist for many years and I am ready to pass on this experience to you and help you with your goals. No goal or too big or too small in my eyes and I am here to help you achieve them! It is never too late to start your musical journey!

Tutoring Experience:

I have had experience working with students of every age. One experience in particular is with children in creating music in workshop environments. This has included writing songs and making the music to go with it. I have also had experience as a cello tutor in an orchestral setting with younger students, helping them with their technique and rhythms. I have experience in one-on-one lessons with older students and have been able to get them to a stage where they can easily read music and rhythms independently.

Tutoring Approach:

I prefer to design the approach to a lesson to each individual - some may prefer a more professional approach to lesson whereas others will prefer it to be casual and laid back. Depending on what the student wishes to gain, I will set short term and long term goals including practice requirements and what work to cover in lessons. All of which, again, are designed to each individual student. I also prefer to get to know the students in the first 3 lessons to understand how they work and at what pace they can work at. Every student is different, and there isn't one way to work with all of them, and I find it important to see what works for each student and then I implement it.
