Information About Rachel - Folkestone teacher

Personal Description:

I am an experienced vocal coach and working singer based in Folkestone's Creative Quarter. I provide coaching sessions in my studio or via Skype.

Tutoring Experience:

The main bulk of my teaching work is one on one voice tuition in my Folkestone based studio. I coach beginners, intermediates and advanced/professional singers. I collaborate with other coaches in the industry, sharing ideas via Youtube to a wide audience. I have successfully led many students through their singing grades (Trinity). I've also worked in stage schools and led choirs.

Tutoring Approach:

I focus heavily on achieving the most efficient technique and most professional sound possible, the accomplishment of which depends on where each individual singer is in terms of ability and what their strengths and weaknesses are. I will work with you in your chosen genres to achieve the most authentic sound, and I will taylor lessons and exercises to your needs.

I keep abreast of the research from a variety of schools of thought and I believe in using experimentation to find solutions and not simply subscribing to belief systems about singing if they are not working for you. I am a working singer so am continually practicing and studying and have accumulated a wealth of experience and knowledge to pass onto students, whatever their needs are. I am in contact with some extremely renowned coaches and am able to get advice from them if I am not sure how to tackle something.

I have my own studio with recording equipment and my students are welcome to take full advantage of these facilities.

My students find me approachable and knowledgable, and often they let me know that I was able to put them at ease during the first lesson. If you prefer a more casual approach and to have singing as a hobby or purely for pleasure, that is no problem either :)
