Personal Description:

Originally from Northern Ireland, I headed off to London aged 18 to pursue classical singing after a strong beginning in choral music. I completed my undergraduate studies in Vocal performance at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, graduating in 2014. I have since performed all over the world as well as extensively throughout the UK. Internationally in Japan on tour with the Royal Opera, Covent Garden and in Australia with Melbourne Opera.

I am currently a member of the extra chorus with English National Opera and the Royal Opera with whom I perform regularly.

I have also worked closely with the Royal Opera Learning and Participation Department during my time there, performing in conjunction with the ROH Youth Opera Company, in recital at the Royal Opera’s Crush Room and as a facilitator delivering their CPD programmes to music teachers in schools.

Tutoring Experience:

Alongside my performing career I have always taken a keen interest in teaching. I enjoy giving back and helping to continue developing the next generation of operatic voices, but I also very much enjoy exploring other genres of music with my students.

I have experience with music theatre styles, having spent some time in Melbourne teaching musical theatre students, where we covered everything from classical musical theatre repertoire through to modern day scores.

My teaching with London Music Service gave me the opportunity to tutor children of all ages from 4 years to school leavers.

I have experience entering students into ABRSM exams, regularly achieving distinction at high grades.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe instilling the principals of a classical vocal technique as the core basis of my teaching leads to optimal flexibility in approaching various styles of singing.

Finding the most natural sound in each student in a pressure free, holistic and encouraging environment allows everyone to access their full potential!
