I'll lend all my credentials and experience - 1st Class BA Hons from Anglia Ruskin (Cambridge), member of a working band with millions of streams on Spotify (Sunday Driver) and 100s of performances over 20 years - to your mastery of the drum kit.

What to say about me? I'm a coach much more than a teacher. Teaching is the imparting of information to another; coaching is the detailed phycological and practical mentoring required that enables someone to achieve their best. And that is what I want for you!

What am I like? Friendly, relaxed, a laugh that comes easy, and I care for your 'holistic health', rather than merely 'how you're doing in my lessons'.

Tutoring Experience:

I'm a working drummer, so teaching is a passion for me rather than 'a job'. I've taught in schools/university and run larger ensembles, but these days I only teach privately.

And my credentials: member of a working band with millions of streams on Spotify (Sunday Driver), 1st Class BA Hons from Anglia Ruskin (Cambridge), 100s of live shows to my name (pop, rock, jazz, swing, fusion, metal, orchestral, latin, neo-soul, folk, probably more) and I've been teaching students privately for around 20 years!

Tutoring Approach:

I'm here to serve you; in our lessons we'll develop a path to the unique milestones you want to hit ('I want to be grade X, I want to learn X song, I want to play better fills, etc').

Whether your goals are this specific or not, I will take you through my learning system that enables you to track your progress, understand your performance level and how to improve it.

You will learn my 4-step approach to master any rhythm, and be given a tailored program of material that enables you to achieve your goals.

I teach hour-long lessons minimum, for beginner, intermediate, advanced and expert level, specialising in teenage and adult learners (age 13 and upwards).
