Personal Description:

I graduated from the Master in Music Performance at Trinity College of Music. As a student of a conservatoire, I have lots of performance experience including concerts and competitions, in addition to which I have lots of experience accompanying grade examinations and in working with instrumentalists and singers, as well as ensemble and duo playing.I believe that this experience could be of benefit for my students in their solo and ensemble playing.

Tutoring Experience:

I have nearly 20 years experience of teaching piano. I have taught students from early age through to adult, with different levels from beginner to diploma; all my students have 100% passing rate in all piano examinations, in which, 98% with merit or distinction. Besides piano solo, I also teach different genres of piano work including duet and ensemble. Apart from preparing students for piano examinations, I also arrange student concerts. Besides piano teaching, I teach singing in a recording production company and a community center as well.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe good relationship with students is very important, it helps them to be relax in the lesson and so that they can learn music better and easier. I also believe students will easily give up if they got stuck with musical problems. For this, I am a patient person that I am not only good at communicate with students for their needs, but also good at guiding my students to solve problems in their learning process.

To me, music is not just an after school activity or only about grade examinations for children; instead, I believe learning an instrument adds to self-development, instilling confidence, discipline, patience, concentration, self-esteem and team work.
