Information About Paulo - Haverhill teacher
This is how 3 referees rated Paulo:
I am originally from Lisbon, Portugal, where I started playing the piano at the age of six. At the age of nine, I was awarded a scholarship to the Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon to study music and the arts, later joining the Conservatoire Nacional de Lisboa at the age of twelve where I had piano tuition from Leonor Leitão-Cadete for several years. I continued my studies in London, studying at the Guildhall School of Music with Norman Beedie and later with Maria Garzón. In 1997 I became a Licentiate of Trinity College, London, and have given numerous piano recitals and worked as a concert pianist playing extensively in England and the south of France. I have won numerous piano competitions in regional music festivals and also manage Stoke Music, a music society devoted to keeping classical music live.

In recent years I have been teaching advanced students at my home. I am situated in the Suffolk/Essex border with easy access to nearby towns and convenient parking at my home where my teaching takes place in a dedicated music room on a grand piano. Prospective pupils are welcome to visit me for a free appraisal and discussion and ‘get to know you’ session.
My aim as a teacher is to help others to develop both musicality and technique on the piano, to provide tuition which is both pleasurable and fulfilling - I welcome students who aspire to reach the highest possible level in piano playing and performing.
