TV appearances have included Top of the Pops & various others around the Globe. He is currently recording the 2nd CD for his fusion band Capricorn 1 and begins a stint on the Story of Guitar Heroes show in the Uk from January 2017

Paul also continues playing live both as a dep for other projects and as Band Leader for The Blues Associates and The Capricon 1 fusion Band, in venues across the U.K. as well as composing for various online music libraries and teaching.

My Teaching duties have included Bimm, Acm The International Guitar Festival and Southampton Solent University and at the renowned music dept at Blandford School Dorset

Tutoring Approach:

I Have Been involved in Higher & Further Education as a teacher since 1997.Prior to that I had been a working professional in the Music Industry. My first professional gig was with Rock Guitarist Steve Hillage (Open, Virgin Records). Since then I’ve recorded, toured or appeared with the following bands/artists: Midge Ure, Paul Weller, The James Taylor Quartet, Galliano London Beat and Omar & Michelle Gayle Chris Farlowe, Maggie Bell, Ian Hunter & Dan Baird (Georgia Satellites) Bernie Marsden (White Snake) Stray Paul Gilbert (Mr. Big) Ashley Slater, Carl Verhayen Guthrie Govern.

This part of my life allowed me to develop a skill set fundamental to surviving in both the industry and life. Since teaching back in 1997 I have delivered several lectures, covered many subjects (Including Music theory, Practice & Performance, Sight-reading, Guitar Techniques, Band workshops Recording techniques and private Tutorials plus a complete understanding of The Electric & Upright Bass and amplification.) and have examined or invigilated many more. At Southampton where am currently employed I have been asked to set the assessments for Degree students in year 1 2 & 3

I have been able to pass all this information down through the years at Bimm where I teach currently & have covered both The Electric & upright Bass To Dip Hi Dip, Degree Students. These lectures also included Upright bass Diploma Sight Reading Studio Musicianship Performance Styles Bass Techniques technical Development & Essential Styles.

At The Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford Surrey, (where I worked for 10 years) I taught various subjects including song craft (a hybrid of The Theory & song writing) to cross discipline groups. During my time at Access to Music at West Herts. & London. My teaching duties included weekly Lectures, producing schemes of work for course modules and being part of the exam process
